Dear Monday, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
You always have been my favorite day of the week; You are my new beginning, my opportunity to right any wrongs and my motivation to jump start my workout, meditation, and healthy living plans! I wish more people would welcome your arrival versus curse you, like some unexpected bill and truth be told; you aren't even the most stressful day of the week, that credit belongs to Wednesday and Friday. But everyone looks forward to Humpday and Thanks God for Friday. By all objective measures, your bad rap is unwarranted. Here are a few facts that I wish more people knew about you. Monday is a perfect day to reboot your mind, body, spirit and have a fresh start. Fact: You are the most productive day for getting it done. New research by Red Letter Days for Business shows over a third of us do our best work on a Monday. In fact, Monday morning is the best to make a plan, get your butt in gear, and BOSS UP! Fact: You are the best day to kick a bad habit and start Good ones. Research confirms you're more likely to reach your target weight if you start on Monday and will have greater long-term success if you start a goal on Monday. Fact: You are the best day to get a deal! From buying a fancy red sports car to a pair of sexy red bottoms. If you shop on Monday, salespeople are looking to start the week off strong. NO EXCUSES MONDAY! 1. Wake Up Early. There is truth in the saying that the early bird gets the worm, Get up an hour earlier on Mondays to start your week off right. 2. Write out a positive self-message and repeat it throughout the day. I am a firm believer in what you think you become. It can be as simple as "I am having a beautiful day" or as detailed as "I am a brilliant CEO driving a multimillion-dollar business." 3. List 5 things you are grateful for. Even if you are going through a difficult season in your life, if you are breathing, be grateful. 4. List your goals for the week by priority. Not a to-do list, like make dinner, pick up the dry cleaning...this should be a list of measurable goals for the week that will make your life better. 5. Never miss your Monday workout. I love to get a hard workout in on Mondays because it encourages me to eat healthily and stay focus on my plan for the week.
Thoughts manifest your reality and actions must be purposeful. Every day may not be perfect, but it can be happy!
