How you can stay thankful, grateful, and blessed during Covid-19

On Monday, one of my family members passed away. I do not believe it was COVID related, but because of the guidelines and restriction, we are unable to properly morn and support his wife and children. I asked God how he could take away such an amazing son, husband, father, and friend that brought some much joy to everyone. God didn't answer! But what he told me was, I AM! That silenced me, and I had to make a choice. I could stay sad and depressed, or I could be thankful for having a chance to spend quality time with my Cousin-in-law, my first cousin, and their beautiful children.
I am still hurting not only because of the tragic passing of my cousin. But also because of the isolation of COVID and the millions of people around the world suffering. So I decided to create a daily prayer, along with my regular morning routine of reading and mediating. If you believe in God or higher power here are a few tips that hopefully will keep you connected.

My daily prayer and mediation practice
Step 1: I start with reading my daily devotional and writing in my gratitude journal. I am a fan of Jesus Is Calling by Sarah Young.
Step 2: Next I read a daily prayer that I created to help me during this challenging time.
